Hi, my name is Steven Tang. I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada. I will be mainly blogging about Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3. My team in that game, Spider-man, Doctor Doom, Rocket Raccoon. I will also blog about game theory, and just my random thoughts about stuff in the game.
When I first started playing MVC3, I actually hated the game. It felt too random at times. It threw me off on things that were not in traditional fighting games. I quit the game after a month. I stayed as an observer quietly watching the game devolve into wolverine, phoenix, dhc glitches. When UMvC3 came out, I was not very patient with the game. I didn't even purchase the game. It seemed to be more or less the same game and the same craziness was still there. I didn't actually start playing the game until a week or 2 before Canada Cup 2012. So around mid october 2012. I can't really put my finger on why I started playing either. There wasn't one particulur reason, I think it was the combination of lack of interest in other fighting games. KOF13 is one of my favorite games but the online for that game is horrid. My team in that game is Kyo, Saiki, Iori. Even though I love that game, I don't really wanna learn other characters. So i'm stuck with learning that game in training mode and I already know my optimized combo's, all my HD combos, all my best normals, etc.
I'm playing spider-man because I enjoy his movement in this game. I think the way he moves around in this game is very unique and also some of the best tools. I'll go into more detail on a later blog but its mainly just because I like his movement and his combos.
Dr.Doom is actually my favorite marvel character in the marvel universe. Unfortunately i'm not a big fan of the way he plays in this game. I do however believe that Dr.Doom and hidden missles provide the most synergy with Spider-man. If i'm gonna play spider-man, i'm gonna run him with what I believe to be his best team.
Rocket Racoon fills the roll as my anchor for many reasons. Without going into details, i'll just say that he has a great assist for spider-man and for doom.
